Why Is Someone An Evil Pedo If They Sleep With a 16 Year Old In One State But Completely Fine In The Next State Over?

Isn't that kind of dumb?

It's a states rights issue. Prior to the federal push for uniform drinking laws some states had lower thresholds for that too.

Pedophilia refers to someone that is sexually attracted to someone under the age of thirteen. If a state considers someone a pedophile for having sex with a sixteen year old then the voters need to stop electing idiots that can't be arsed to do their research before passing laws.

The real issue is that the age of consent varies from one state to the next. Most states have the age of consent at either sixteen or seventeen, while ten states have the age of consent at eighteen. This really comes down subjective reasoning on when the politicians of those states consider someone old enough to make informed consent based on their own political, personal and religious views and goals.

It depends on what the state considers to be a big D. If the guy's D is considered big in one state, but small in the other, then the state that considers his D to be small will consider him a pedo
