Math problem?

The Preliminary Round of a High School Mathematics contest is composed of 15 multiple choice questions. If each question is awarded 0 or 1, what is the number of students that must be in the contest to be sure that at least 30 students get the same final score in the contest?

For my answer, is got 465, because 16 * 29 +1, is this correct?

    Looks right to me.

With 464, it's possible for 29 people to have 0, 29 people to have 1, etc. up through 15.  (29 * 16).  Then that 465th person is needed to make sure that one of the slots has 30 people in it.
