Should the US and UK send in troops to Hong Kong to defend the people from Chinese aggression?
Considering Xi Jingping is trying to show his authority against the will of the people of Hong Kong shouldn't the west consider sending troops to show strength towards China that they will defend Hong Kong to protect the Sino-british declaration of1984?

That would be an act of invasion, and not really an option. Modern politics would go for sanctions instead.

China(PRC) has already garrisoned Hong Kong with a large number of PRC army soldiers.
Neither the U.S or the U.K have the will to intervene militarily.
The best thing that all the rest of the world can do is offer sanctuary to the People of Hong Kong.
Australia as an example is offering an essentially seam less migration plan to help people move out of Hong Kong.
It will all end Badly for the people of Hong Kong under PRC control.
