Why does Yahoo Answers suddenly accept a 2 year old report that a question or answer is breaking their Terms Of Useage?

Update:

Yahoo even tries to cover it up by back-dating their notification e-mail.

Update 2:

Maybe I should have said Terms Of Service?

Well, by the looks of it david, someone doesnt like you and is somehow viewing much of your old schit.

You might want to hide for a little while, go anonymous, or maybe change your name to a dot or something.

The whole system of reporting is crazy and always was. Legitimate questions are reported because some troll doesn't like them.

  • This report you receive is old and can not be used to appeal a deletion.   You have 7 days to appeal a violation removal.   Many of us have gotten this same report in the past but not recently.  It is Yahoo's way of screwing with us.  This is another reason I have slow down using this site.  The trolls are winning and those who cheat and makeup stories here are not being held for their sins.  They also will change there answer after they read the correct answer.  In the good old days, you would have received that report a few hours or a day after it been reported and had plenty of time to appeal and win.  But not anymore.  I do not understand why they stay here day and night without sleep to answer another question and do it using some cheap cell phone not even a smart phone.  Now that is a sorry person.

If that was not allowed, porn and scams that slipped through would be allowed to stay. There were times in the history of YA where many reports would not remove a post because the system was broken. That might explain why a report now might trip the system to remove it.

The system is overloaded with years and millions of reports is why. Ism getting best answer emails for questions that were asked in January. Verizon took over Yahoo 3 years ago. 2 year of violation reports means SOMEONE at Yahoo Verizon is finally paying attention abd may be trying to go through the backlog of reports and update the system FINALLY. At least Verizon is FINALLY trying to be accountable for the YEARS of abuse on YA.

It was NOT backdated. That means it really has been in the computer servers network or the Cloud for 2 years. I do NOT claim to be computer expert in any way, but I am constantly amazed that many people apparently have no idea how computers and computer networks really work and seem to assume that Yahoo or Verizon staff are intentionally trying to screw and frustrate customers. Unless you are PAYING Yahoo for a premium email account or Verizon as your ISP, neither Yahoo or Verizon is making money from you.

Most likely explanation: not enough people reported it when the post was fresh, and then someone today reported it too

Because they fear another class action lawsuit and there is probably another one on the way

Why do you think crying about it here will change anything?  Grow up and move on.

The biggest cause of this is the new format that makes it easier for old questions to be read by new posters.

I once had a stalker  report 8 year old questions  from a SUSPENDED account.

    My SUSPENDED account...........lost 30 pts........8 years later.

here, I can prove it, and even asked a question about it at the time.
