Is it wrong to be praying for all the lost souls in the streets tearing things apart just because they’re upset they lost an election?

White privilege is when you can be accused of raping 22 women, molesting a 13 yr old, robbing a charity, and having child sex trafficking best friends and still become president.

Black people in and around Louisville, be on alert & be safe today. Armed white supremacist militia groups are supposed to come out today to “counter protest.” The police are going to be on their side. Just keep that in mind—Tariq Nasheed

You can't claim these monuments represent heritage and then be surprised when those that history oppressed see them AS symbols of exclusion. You can't claim your society includes all equally when the town square is filled by reminders representing ONLY the history of a few. If it's about history and the forgetting of it, "heritage" as you say, then these symbols belong in a museum where they might educate and remind us of that past IN CONTEXT and surrounded by supporting material, not glorifying one ideology's view of history in the town square. Heritage isn't a statue. History isn't a single human being. The narrative of our past is complex. It is millions of people of all ideologies and all races and all stations and all struggles and if it's HISTORY you're worried about, then you must tell the whole story. If you care more about a bird **** covered block of bronze in the likeness of some long dead general who took up arms against this nation than you do about the people living NOW, well, you know, you just might be the whole goddamn problem with our history. Yes, it's good to pray for people, without assuming they're "lost souls".

Well, thanks to the incompetence of the current administration, they won't be losing the next one.

I think it makes perfect sense from a Christian perspective.

I'm an atheist and I think they should be locked up and tried for vandalism and the media tried for treason but since you care about their 'souls', I can see why you'd pray. I think, of all the things you could pray for, this is really quite nice of you.
