Is there such a thing as a corporate e-mail account where an employee can only RECEIVE e-mails?

Let’s say a co-worker receives an e-mail.  Later, his co-worker (whose name was NOT included in the “to:” box) questions him about said e-mail she received.  Obviously, this is strange, because as stated earlier, her name was not included.  And she definitely didn’t HEAR about the e-mail, because she questioned him in person while pointing at her screen — it was the same e-mail he received.  FYI, she NEVER replies to any of the e-mails.

It is very possible or probable that she was BCC'd on the email. That would explain that she has a copy and that you were not aware of it.

It can be done with spy type software, but it's a violation of company policies and more than likely, privacy laws. Moe than likely, she was on a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) line that YOU cannot see on your email.
