If the business interests are in direct opposition to your family interests, you either get rid of the business or you cut ties with your family.

Yet another stupid question that has no context.

If the family and business interests are in conflict, I'm guessing it's not a family business.    In which case what is the question?     Is there some reason you need to discuss business with family?

ETA:   Of course you can provide context for a hypothetical.   You chose not to.
