    It is healthy to exercise every day, but when it comes to running, I think not.

    Running is a very effective fat burner and heart trainer.

    But if you run long distances every day it could lead to repetitive injuries. Assuming the average dude takes 1000strides/mile. Thus in a 5mile run, he would have struck the ground 5000times.

    Also, running is a high impact activity that places a force of 4 times your body weight on your joints.

    I have tried running everyday for 3months, long-distance, intervals, the tempo you name it, ignoring my tight calves and sore muscles, thus breaking my metatarsal in the process.

    Moral of the story:

    do proper dynamic warming up/ stretching to cool down;

    mobility and flexibility drills/stretches/massaging/foam rolling;

    drink lots of milk

    Do a day of intense training and take the next day off with a recovery run.

    Progressively ramp up your training from 3times/wk to 4, 5, 6 .. (I still think a total rest day is essential).

    Consider cross-training: swimming, biking,weight training..

    Real moral of the story: yes you can run every day but whether your body can support what your mind intends to do is really up to the body. Run as how your body feels. If you feel weary and sluggish, there's no harm in taking the day off and coming back tomorrow to kill it with a more energized run!

    I wonder why you want to burn fat because it sounds as if you are very healthy.

    depends on a lot of factors.  The main things are how many calories do you eat and how many calories you burn in a day.  Running  the calories burns depends on your fitness levels, if you run a lot ironically you burn less if you are fitter as your body adjusts to become more efficient and burn less calories.

    No.  It’s not bad, Mark.  You will have to run every day in boot camp, so why not get prepared?  But when did you get fat?

    If you are not obese, you do not need to burn fat.  And since comments aren’t allowed now, you should do Paltalk.

    Yes.  It is a totally free app for your phone.

    An ex ran every morning regardless of weather. If his knees were bad, he'd bike to work. We're in latitudes that have harsh winter's and hot and humid summers. He'd wake up at 4 a.m., run eight miles, then get ready for work. Needless to say, he had no visible fat. The run would be at least an hour.
