    Some are; some aren't.

Corona virus isn't considered to be an airborne illness. It's spread mainly by direct physical contact with an infected person.

Spanish flu probably was an airborne illness. It spread too fast, to too many people all over the world, for it not to have been airborne. Many people in the U.S. in 1918 still lived on farms, 10 miles or more from their nearest neighbor, they didn't visit back and forth with their neighbors, and they went into town maybe once a month. They almost never came into contact with anyone except their family members who lived in the house with them. If Spanish flu wasn't airborne, then how did they become infected?
