When I've bought a phone, I've always waited or worked out a discount with my phone company.
The Samsung Galaxy S phones always go on sale around Black Friday.
But No.... I don't think $1100 is a good price for a phone. Then again, the prices of a lot of tech products have gone up 50% or better over the last 2-3 years. I'm not sure if this has something to do with TSMC charging a lot for waferspace, or if tech giants think they can get away with such prices because the economy was doing so well for a while.
It will be interesting to see what prices they charge once the media and economist figure out that we're in a deep recession.

NO phone is worth over $1,000.
It's a rip off price.
Get one that's maybe 2 years old for a LOT less but still a very good phone.
NEVER pay for functions that you aren't actually going to need.
If you always have to have the latest you are marketing man's (con artist's) dream buyer (sap)

No.
No one should pay more than one day's worth of their income for a phone.
Do you know anyone who earns $1100 a day?
Only someone who does should even Consider paying that much for a phone,
and it still isn't a sensible thing to do..
