Need help with two TLC plate questions?
Both questions ask, Which TLC represents shows that the reaction did NOT go to completion?

Since the solvent is very non-polar, I would expect the more polar reactant to move the shorter distance and the less polar product to move farther up the plate. So, answer C shows a single reactant in the left lane and two substances (one of which is the reactant and the other of which is less polar) in the right lane. So, C is the correct answer.
Using the same ideas as in the first product (less polar molecule moves farther...), image B would be the expected TLC for this reaction which did not go to completion.
