How long does it take to color in a tattoo?

My ex boyfriend went to get color on his tattoo. He got there around 4pm and the last time I talked to him he was still there at 9pm. I been to a tattoo shop but I don't remember it taking all day to get color on a tattoo.

It depends on how big the tattoo is and if his tattoo artist has other clients before him ....but why do you care about how long he's taking?

It can be really quick if it is "Iron on color". Most people leave within 10 seconds.
