    minimums occur when y = m*wl*d/a  where m = +/-1, +/-2, ... wl = wavelength of light, D = distance from slit to screen, a = width of slit

    Width of central max = W = y(1) - (y-1) = wl*d/s - (-wl*d/a) = 2wl*d/a

    SInce violet light has a shorter wavelength than red light, it will have a smaller central maximum.

    Difference calculation  W_v = violet light width, wl_v = wavelength of violet light,  same convention for red light

    deltaW = W_r - W_v = 2*d/a*(wl_r - wl_v) = 7.34 mm
