All you sad-sacks who decry cricket, if you weren't inspired by the Pakistan / England first test maybe you need euthanasia, don't you?

    Ooh that's a bit harsh, I happen to like cricket but there are so many sports for people to follow and they can't follow them all.

    That was hardly inspiring cricket. It was decent cricket, but the outcome was never in doubt once Pakistan was bowled out in their second innings. Buttler and Woakes put on a nice display of batting but I've seen better.

    England vs New Zealand in the World Cup last summer, now THAT was inspiring cricket. The Australia-New Zealand Test last fall was better cricket than this first Test.

    Not having any fans in the seats takes something away from it as well.
