Is stealing from a criminal a perfect crime?

Such as a drug dealer, or a pimp, who has large sums of cash in their home.

The perfection of this crime requires 2 caveats:

1.You have to get the drop on them, either get your gun on them first, or strike when no one is home, so they can't shoot you.

2. You have to make sure your target doesn't know who you are, so they cannot come after you later.

If those 2 things are managed, then you can enjoy the key benefit of stealing from another criminal:

They don't tend to go running to the police about it, because doing so would bring the risk of exposing their own crime, and the police aren't going to return illegally obtained money to them anyway.

And if your crime is not reported, then the police will never show up to have a word with you.

What makes you think the drug dealer would be stupid enough to hide the money in their "home?"

No, since this would just add fuel to the fire.
