Can a 20 year old date a 17 year old in Texas? I’m going to turn 20 in November and she won’t turn 18 for another few months.

Dating is never illegal unless you are having sex..  The age of consent in Texas though is 17, not 18, so it is also legal to have sex with her.  Had she been 16 and you 19, it still would be legal since they have a "close in age" clause, meaning that if you are 3 years or less in age difference, then you are still legal.

That works all the way down to age 14, so a 14 year old is legal with a 17 year old, but under 14 is always illegal.

date?  sure -- with parent's consent.  have sex with?  You'd best consult Texas law on that and remember that child support is for about 20 years
