What exactly is a smart tv? Can you connect to the internet and watch YouTube videos on it?

    Yes, a "smart TV" has the equivalent of one of those streaming boxes or sticks you would plug in to the HDMI input, already in it. It'll have some popular streaming apps installed that you can sign up for or use the subscription you already have, and may be able to add more apps depending on the model.
