When is a shoulder replacement surgery necessary?

    Hard to say, it may be an individual decision.

    Pain, not treated with OTC meds.

    Limitation in movements needed for everyday activities.

    Having to give up thing you HAVE to do, not just things you LIKE to do.

    Consider other health issues that would make you a poor surgical risk (Heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke)

    Things that would make you unable to complete needed rehab.

    Surgery is  not a "free kick". Some folks have complications, or get worse after the replacement is done.

    Complicated decision!!
