    There are not too many hard rock albums in the 80s as the trend was to "unplug" or go acoustic.  I am not a fan of heavy metal.  My favorite hard rock albums of the 80s would include

    J. Geils Band - Freeze Frame,  Love Stinks,

    John Mellencamp - Uh Huh, American Fool, Scarecrow

    Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA,

    U2 - The Joshua Tree, War

    Joe Jackson - Big World

    Alannah Myles - Alannah Myles
