What are some receipes that are “safe” and you can’t possibly mess up ?

What are your receipes that always taste amazing no matter what

    My version of beans and rice is impossible to screw up, unless you burn it!

    Two pounds of ground beef

    One can of red kidney beans, drained and rinsed

    One medium onion, sliced

    Two cloves of garlic, minced

    2 teaspoons of cumin, more or less to taste

    1/4 cup of green olives and a tablespoon of olive, this ingredient really threw me off, hot green olives...ewwww. But it really IS good. So, this is optional if you don't like green olives. much chopped fresh cilantro and scallions as you like.

    Brown meat, add all other ingredients. Simmer on low for 10 minutes.

    Serve over prepared white rice.

    Not amazing, but.....

    Recipes that are "safe" and you can't possibly mess up:

    McCormick Bag 'n Season - It comes with a seasoning packet for the meat and an oven bag that you cook the meat in.  I like the ones they have for pork chops and chicken.

    No bake cheesecake - 

    1 (8-oz) package cream cheese (softened)

    1 cup sour cream

    1/2 cup sugar

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1 (8-oz) container nondairy whipped topping (Cool Whip)

    1 store-bought Graham cracker crust

    Pie filling, for topping (optional)

    Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until you form a smooth mixture.

    Gently Fold in the Cool Whip.

    Pour the cheesecake filling into a store-bought Graham cracker crust and smooth the top with a spoon or spatula.

    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow it to set. Preferably overnight.

    Just before serving, top with your favorite cheesecake topping and enjoy!

    Casseroles and crockpot meals are pretty safe also.

    anything can happen to mess up a recipe, even one you have done for years. 

    the trick is to be able to  cover up the mistake and have your family and guests think it is amazing.

    Anything can be messed up., I've seen 70 year old's mess up plain pasta.

    I’ve never eaten anything that I found “amazing” - wonderful, delicious, surprisingly good? Yes, but amazing. No.

    There really isn't any recipe that’t can't be messed up. The huge majority of recipes (from a reliable source) are straightforward enough but anyone can make a mistake and there are, going by the contributions to this site, some really dumb people trying to cook.

    There is NOTHING that is idiot-proof.

    There is no such thing as a "receipe."
