Can the stinger gun of WW2 ever be reproduced Using the exact parts and factory materials?

The Stinger was a Browning .30 caliber AN/M2, salvaged from a crashed or otherwise inoperable aircraft, that was modified for use by infantry. Since it was designed to be air cooled by air flowing past it in flight, it tended to overheat. I don't see why it couldn't be reverse engineered and reproduced. What are you thinking?
