How to find the magnitude and direction of the net electric force they will exert on the proton?

If two electrons are each 1.8x 10-10 m from a proton, as shown in Fig. 1.4.

    Using math.

    The two forces both have magnitude F = ke^2 / r^2 where r = 1.8x 10^-10 m and point toward the electrons

    Draw the line that bisects the angle. The components parallel to the line are Fcos(32.5°) while the perpendicular components cancel.

    2ke^2 / r^2 * cos(32.5°)
