math question, not recipe question. Break down how much sugar is in each cookie and add enough more to equal 30 cookies...you would have to do that with ALL the ingredients if indeed this is a recipe question.

Its only six more cookies, so maybe just another spoonful added to the recipe??. Or use the given amount and make the cookies smaller to make 30!

1 3/4 cups is 1.75 cups

If 24 cookies need 1.75 cups

each cookie needs 1.75/24 cups

so 30 cookies need 1.75/24 x 30 cups

Calculator time !

OK, hang on. 30 is 1.25X 7/4 X 1.25 = 2.1875. .1875 is 11/64ths. So you would need 2 11/64th cups of sugar. But wait. Over in Education and Reference are people who man the Homework Help board. Head over there and get a really good answer.

Convert cups into tablespoons. There are 16 tablespoons in one cup. So 1 3/4 cups equals 16 x 1.75 = 28 tablespoons.

Next, take the difference between 30 and 24, which is 6, and divide it into 24 to get the fraction 1/4. You need an extra 1/4 or 25% of 1 3/4 cups to make 25% more cookies.

Now, divide the 28 tablespoons by 4 to get 7. You will need 7 tablespoons of sugar in addition to the 1 3/4 cups.

2 1/5 Cups roughly

Divide 1.75 cup of sugar with 24 cookies in decimals = 0,073

0,073 x 30 = 2,19 100/20 is 1/5 so 2 1/5 cups.

In grams:

1 3/4 is 397 gram

397/16.5 gram per cookie x 30 =496gram

496 divided with (1 cup is 227g) = 2.185 = 2 1/5 cups

I don't use cups or ounces, so I'm not sure how to convert to smaller than cups. The 1/5 cup is about 42gram
