Why do Democrats contribute to funds that bail out violent criminals?

Did you know that most people (even as much as 3/4 of people) in jail right now have not had a trial or been convicted of any crime?
It's because many people are arrested on misdemeanor non-violent offences (jaywalking, driving with an expired license, missing a court date, possessing a tiny amount of marijuana, etc), but don't have thousands of dollars in bail money to get out until their trial comes. So the state just keeps them locked up. In most jurisdictions, a person arrested under those circumstances could spend as much as TWO YEARS in jail before getting a trial. This is one of the reasons that so many innocent people plead guilty to crimes they didn't even commit: if they plead, they go home with a fine; if they don't, they sit in jail for two years and risk getting convicted anyway.
Meanwhile, if these people sit in jail, they lose their jobs, their families become destitute, their kids don't have parents, and in general their lives just fall apart. It is unjust to hold people in circumstances like these. So compassionate people (whatever party they are), have attempted to relieve their suffering by paying the bail. That way the people can get back to work until they can have a trial and a fair opportunity to clear their names.
So far as I know, no one is doing this to help "violent criminals" like murderers, rapists, burglars, etc. If you can provide some evidence of that I'd like to see it.
