how do i balance : NaCHO3 + NaCl --> NaCl +H2O +CO2 ?

    You don't.  There is no such reaction.

    Among other things, you cannot have the same compound (NaCl in this case) on both sides of a reaction arrow.

    NaHCO3 + HCl --> NaCl + H2O + CO2

    That equation is already balanced. The term most commonly used to describe this situation is:

    balanced as written.
