Of course, even the bad think they're good

We live in a world of dichotomies. There is no up w/o down ... in w/o out ... good w/o bad etc. The opposite validates the other by contrast and is relevant on an individual case by case basis. Therefore, it has to be. We all have biorhythms that include peeks and valleys. We are in charge of our attitude which can minimize time spent in the valley. Ask a deep q ... get a deep answer.

Karma I guess. And we don’t really have an identity except for the one given to us by other people. Starting when we’re very young. That was the basis of the line “hell is other people” in Jean Paul Sartre’s  play “no exit”. Because it is basically the judgments  of other people which gives us our sense of identity. And that can be a prison and a “hell”.And if you’re free of those judgments, especially if they’re negative ones, you suffer much less. Which is why if you go into the woods by yourself for a long period of time or you get into a deep state of meditation You might suffer less than when you’re in the company of other human beings, because you can almost lose your sense of identity in those situations, Since there is nobody around to give it to you or to reinforce that which already has been given

Bad things happen to everyone but, often good people are victimised because we live in a society where good is perceived as weak. Good people are seen to deserve being trodden on by unscrupulous people who gain more respect. It’s sick and it’s evil but that’s what people are.

  • They were good towards bad people. Which is in fact not good.

Life is about natural selection and who is fit enough to survive the environment we're placed in. Bad things will happen even though you give to the needy and smile at strangers. Unfortunately, the universe doesn't shield us from disaster simply because we recycle or do other good deeds. Just as life won't keep the gentile baby rabbit from being eaten by the snake.

no one is immune to sufferings

  • Good question but I have no answer.

Probably because the good people care, and stick to what's right.

While immoral people can do whatever they want.

It's always tougher to preserve something than destroy it.
