Is it true IBS pills can be harmful if you don't have IBS, just flatulence?

    IBS medication pretty well stops bowel function, so that extreme constipation occurs.  It's also used for Chron's Disease.  It should be monitored by a physician.  Flatulence can be controlled by changing a person's diet.  And yes, I'm a "Yank".

    what exactly do you mean by "IBS pills" ??

    loperamide is one common drug, not harmful

    There are no IBS pills. Only tummy ache relief medication. And the FODMAP diet.....which works a treat
