Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin In The Sun?

What issues does Walter face? I know he is trying to open up a liquor store for his family with the $10k insurance money from his father, but what issues does he exactly face?

Poor Walter's main issue is his very interesting collection of allergies and the impact they have on his life. His three worst allergies are (1) money, especially money gained from insurance policies, (2) working in, or owning any shop which sells alcohol and (3) an incredible fear of his beloved father dying.

Apart from all that, though, he really doesn't have any issues at all. Hope this helped.

Unlike you, he has ambition. He's not a liar, a sneak, a thief, a cheat, and a coward. Small wonder that the story doesn't appeal to you.
