A dog bred to pull a sledge 100s of miles ?
What do you think?

Yes, they are very high energy.

Yes they do, such a mix would be an extreme energy dog...

The Husky part needs a massive amount of exercise. A Husky can run all day for miles & miles & miles. But I have no idea which breed stands out more than the other. You can run it 2 to 4 miles 2 to 3 times a day & still be climbing the walls.
They are escape artists so watch your fence line to keep this dog in your yard. Fix all holes & any means to escape.

In a word YES, they are a working dog.

Both breeds are high energy.. So, yes

Yes.....The Husky is bred for long treks hauling sleds across snow and Samoyeds were bred to Herd.
They are not dogs who would be happy with 40 minutes walks round the block or in a park.

Short answer is yes. They are both 'working' dogs. The Husky was bred to pull sleds all day in freezing conditions. The Samoyed is a herding dog. So they do need plenty of exercise. The UK Kennel Club recommend a minimum of two hours a day.
