Are abdominal workouts harmful to a hernia?

You can exercise with a hernia. However, the exercise should not put a strain in the area where the hernia is located. For someone with abdominal hernia, abdominal workouts such as sit-ups and reverse abdominal crunches are not recommended because they can increase intra-abdominal pressure.

Possibly. Not all hernias are the same.

I'm guessing it depends on the type/kind and location of the hernia. According to my doc, i don't need to worry about mine and considering the issues I have are not in the same location as my Hernia, I'll take his word for it.
