Is there two much discrimination and harassment of convicted sex offenders?

You did the crime, you did the time. You paid your debt to society and now your out. But, since you are a convicted sex offender, you can not get a social media account, employers will not hire you, you can't go to disney land, six flags etc.

Isn't this is too much, especially when you have done the time for the crime? Do Americans have an unhealthy obssession with/are on a witch hunt for these convicts? The laws may need to be changed such that only the police should know about the charge? There have been cases where convicted sex offenders have been MURDERED upon being released from prison. What they did was wrong, for sure, but you can't continue to discriminate against someone for the rest of their lives. Am I the ony one who thinks they should be allowed to lead a normal life upon release from prison?

Not really, although I do not like that you do not need to be found guilty, you just have to be accused to have your life turned upside down.  Even if a person is cleared of all charges and the person who accuses them admits that they lied, that accusation will follow the one accused for life.

No. If rape or child molestation is definitively proven they should be put to death.
