Plants have strange unpronounceable names ,
Medicines have strange unpronounceable names ,
they must love baffling us by using words that are not in the dictionaries .

Because English does not have other unequivocal words for those things. Specialist jargon happens in any situation where people need to refer to things clearly and unambiguously.

English do not have a single phonetic way of writting which is compatible with pronouncing (unlike for example Greek languge).
