31/4 (Improper fraction, sometimes, but incorrectly named a 'top heavy fraction').

Method to form an improper fraction .

Multiply the coefficient '7' by the denominator '4'

7 x 4 = 28

Then add '3' the numerator 28 + 3 = 31 .

Place over the numerator '4' . hence 31/4 !!!!

No thanks. I don't want to.

Your education should have started by being taught how to be polite.

Then you would have said the magic word "please".

if 4/4 equals 1 then 28/4 is 7 then you add the extra 3/4 to get the improper fraction 31/4 which is the same as 7 & 3/4ths
