How is China doing better than the U.S. in terms of much less COVID-19 cases?

If you look at the numbers, we currently have almost 12.5 million cases. China has a population of over a billion people with only approximately 88,000 cases. We have three times more deaths than China has cases. India has over a billion people as well and they have less cases than the U.S.

Though the stats coming out of China are not likely accurate, it's no surprise they're doing far better than the US. China has dealt with SARS & MERS for a decade now, so they've had experience & had plans in place. People in China know the importance of mask wearing instead of arguing about their "personal freedoms." And China acted fast with Draconian measures... didn't you see the videos of people being forcefully dragged away into quarantine? So their low numbers are easy to understand.

OTOH, we had Trump who's strategy was to totally ignore the pandemic, deny it was happening, then hopelessly bungle the govt's disorganized response.

Because the stupid people think their rights are being infringed upon if told to wear a mask.  It's a good thing this generation wasn't around for WWll where serious sacrifices were made, And this generation can't handle something so benign as wearing a mask. That is how the spread is contained. Plus Trump's covid super spreaders rallies didn't help the situation.

that's easy, the King of China says there were only 15 new cases yesterday, so there were ONLY 15 new cases yesterday ...... regardless ................................
