  • Persilade, alas you can only buy it in France. My wife sends it to our many relatives around the world.

Seasoned salt is the one i buy in the largest container. I no longer buy table salt as i am on a low sodium diet which also rules out ham and bacon.

Coarse ground black pepper-I use a Lot of pepper, Kosher salt, Paprika, rubbed sage-perfect on chicken and turkey. Old Bay(for the wife when she gets into her 'I want lobster' moods), thyme and oregano-I grow and dry basil myself.

I do buy stuff like Arrowroot starch in big containers-but only when i run out.

    Fine ground black pepper

    Black peppercorns

    Garlic powder (not garlic salt)

    Onion powder

    Cumin

    Chili powder

    Oregano

    Sage

    Thyme

    Marjoram

    Course sea salt

I might add a big bottle of coriander the next time I am at the restaurant supply store.

I use a lot of parsley in my cooking too, but I use fresh, not dried.  Parsley is so easy to grow in a pot...I see no reason to pay $1 every time I want some fresh parsley.   I have little to no use for dried parsley.

    salt

    peppercorns

i have a lot of nutmeg, whole have had them in an airtight container for a few years and when I grate it it smells just like nutmeg should.

I also have a rather large jar of paprika that should probably  be tossed.

Sounds like a New Years day project!  Go through cabinets and toss stuff!
