Why do Neurotypicals always try to compare autism to diseases like cancer, diabetes, alziemers etc why are yall so ableist?

Autism isn’t a death sentance nor is it a bad thing. As an autistic, comparing autism to diseases or even mental illnesses makes you an ableist idiot who contributes to the stigma against autistics.

A lot of people just refuse to learn. My neighbor's son is autistic so I have learned a lot about it from him and his family.
