What will happen if i dont sign the statement i gave to the police?

My boyfriend had a warrent for his arrest and was arrested two days ago. I had to give the police a statement. If i dont sign my statement will he still be sent to jail after court on monday? Or will he be released from the watch house?

I live in townsvile, australia, queensland  if that helps

Update:

If hes sent back to prison how much time would he have to serve for breaching parole

If you don't sign the statement, it is WORTHLESS in court. It is also 100% IRRELEVANT to the charge that resulted in the warrant. In short, what happens at the hearing won't be impacted in any way by your signing, or not signing a statement.

Why wouldn't you sign the statement?  Let's hear the rest of the story.

Your statement will not make a difference since there was a warrant for his arrest.

You COULD be held in contempt of Court.  It depends on the Judge.  Contempt of Court will involve time in jail.
