Is a degree in Business and Finance useful for an Engineer?

No, you will be wasting precious time and money. Most Engineers work for large Corporations, they have their own experts in business & finance.

A bachelors engineering degree, a P.E. license, and a masters in business is a very desirable pedigree. One of the smartest people I ever met got a BSEE degree before going to medical school and becoming a surgeon.

not really...and Engineering is a very hard degree to obtain, why would you want to also study Business and Finance? If you invent anything your high income as an Engineer will allow you to hire a lawyer and a CPA to take care of the details for you.
