Why is my DCIM folder full?

When I plug my iPhone into my computer it says the internal storage is almost full even though I have plenty of storage on my phone??

How many photos are in there ? Might be time to back those up and clear your photos folder.

Some phones can only handle so many files in spite of storage room.

Apps take up far more memory when they run.

In the past, iOS was known for poor storage "housekeeping".  The only way to regain the space is to reset the phone.  Make sure it's backed up first.

Perhaps your computer is looking at an SD card in the phone and when you look at in you are looking at the internal storage (or vice versa).

Just a thought...probably not the answer
