Which of these names is good for this furball?

I was thinking Champ because he has an optimistic nature, but also considering Dusty, Muffy or Buddy.

Cannot help you there, I know nothing about the dog/furball.  I try to find names that suit an individual dog that represents something about it.  Like you chose Champ because of something about the dog having an optimistic attitude,  I like Champ.  Very common but a good name.  I like it.

I think Dusty would suit him really well.   I knew a Dusty who belonged to a neighbour and I used to exercise him mainly because my parents refused to let me have a dog.   He didn't look unlike that dog.
