Yes and it cost hundreds of millions to protect them that’s why trump wanted them to pay there share to the UN but the war mongers loose kick backs so they did not like it. It cost American taxpayers to keep our troops there and Germany buys billions of dollars from Russia instead of buying LNG from the USA.

The US is still heavily invested in it's bases in Germany, and that won't change in the foreseeable future.

I don't know about the British, but the USA still has bases in Germany.  At the invitation of Germany.

The US have many troops and bases in Germany.  The British withdrew their troops in 2019, handing over the last of their bases, although they occasionally take part in joint exercises.

The Americans have numerous Air Bases and Army installations in Germany in 2021. President Trump has ordered that many forces be transferred East to other NATO countries. As far as I know, the British don't have any military forces in Germany.
