You'll need the Gateway's IP address. It's series of numbers separated by dots. To get that you can look for it under the router or  install Wifiman in your smartphone. You need to take note of your smartphone's IP address too. In Android, it's in Settings, About Device, Status.

In your computer, go to: Network and Sharing Center, Wireless Network Connection, Properties.

Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 then Properties.

Select Use the following IP address, then punch in the first three sets of numbers of the gateway and change the last set to one that's different from the gateway and the phone's addresses.

Subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 and then enter the gateway's address as is for the Default Gateway.

For DNS, put in 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1. Make sure there is no check on Enable Validate settings on exit.  OK, Close, Close.

Windows might try to change the settings automatically. Just accept it. If it works, great. If not, go back, punch in those values again then don't let windows change them. If the wifi is connected but without internet, disconnect then reconnect. If it still does not work, reboot.

If nothing works, your laptop's wifi adapter may be damaged. You can buy a cheap USB wifi dongle. The ones that come with a huge antenna tend to be better but more pricey.

Look for a symbol or switch on the laptop that controls the wifi. Most likely you might have accidentally switched it off. The symbol generally looks like the photo below. Usually needs a fn key on the keyboard and one of the f keys to turn it back on. Heres the photo of the symbol as you can see its illustration it looks like a satellite tower with little waves of frequency:

Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager. Right-click on the network adapter and choose Uninstall. If prompted, click on Delete the driver software for this device. Restart your machine and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

Too vague to answer. What exactly is going on with the laptop? Does it see your Wi-Fi network? Do you get any error messages?
