Does a root canal hurt?

Question

I am difficult to numb, and I have a low pain tolerance. I have a root canal tomorrow (21st) and I'm panicking. Does root canals hurt? How bad will it hurt for those who are difficult to numb?

It doesn't help that I have a bad fear of the dentist, so I keep panicking and thinking that it will hurt a lot.

They are no fun but you should be doped up enough that the pain will be bearable.

They numb you so it probably won't hurt. Unfornately, for me the root canal failed and the toot got reinfected with the worst pain ever so i had to get it extracted. I hope it goes well for you tho. Im hoping some day if i have some extra money i can get a implant.
