    Compare 9 liters to 6 liters.

    9/6 = 3/2 = 1.5

    So you have 1.5 times as much paint, you would expect to cover 1.5 times as much area.

    1.5 * 50 = 75 m²

    You could also solve this using a proportion and you should get the same answer.

    Think:

    (area) / (paint) = (area) / (paint)

    50/6 = x/9

    25/3 = x/9

    x = 9 * 25/3

    x = (9/3) * 25

    x = 3 * 25

    x = 75 m²

    if you know how much surface area 6 liters of paint covers and you want to know how much surface area 9 liters of paint will cover, you should ask yourself how do I find out how much surface area 1 liter of paint covers.....

    that means 6 liters will cover six times as much.

    to get from 6 liters to 1 liter divide the surface coverage of 6 liters (50 sq m) by 6

    If you know how much surface area 1 liter covers then figuring the coverage of 9 liters is simple multiplication.

    (50/6)*9=75 square meters
