--  The German and Austrian Nazis were fascists and ultra right wing.  They strongly opposed any form of socialism and communism, beating up, arresting and killing most socialists and communists.

--  Fascism is ultra right wing politics with capitalism as its economic base.

If you excuse the war and abuse of people, the Nazi's worked very well for Germany.   But the Nazis were socialist in name only.  Just like they called themselves the 'worker's' party , even though they just wanted to draw worker support away from the communists.

No. The Nazis were national socialists which is very different from Marxist socialists. The failure of the Third Reich demonstrates why right wing fascism doesn't work.
