It does give you great stamina... unfortunately however it’s also a very lazy placement. Plus isn’t Mars is debilitated in Taurus?

Yes... Because mars is a nice planet and the game Taurus would look slightly more attractive if it did have Mars in it.

The FIRST consideration is HOW Mars aspects any of the other planets in that person's birthchart.

A well-aspected Mars takes action (Mars is our "action" nature) in the CONSTRUCTIVE behaviors of whatever Sign it is in.

A badly-aspected Mars takes action in the DYSFUNCTIONAL behaviors of whatever Sign it is in.

ALL Signs have the potential for constructive or dysfunctional behaviors.

For Taurus, the constructive is calmness, determined persistent action that can accomplish things. And not likely to get irritated, annoyed or angry very easily.

For Taurus, the dysfunctional side is inflexibility (including trouble changing their approach when their approach is clearly NOT working), and if they DO get angry on occasion, they BLOW up HUGE.

However, astrology is only an influence. It does not control us, unless we have no self-awareness and never make choices about how we react.  All you can see in the birthchart is how the person will likely be IF they do nothing to change or grow.

When astrology says that "Mars is in Detriment" in Taurus, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Mars CAN be very impulsive and headstrong ... and the style of Taurus, applied to Mars-action, tempers it and tames it a bit so the person is not running amok all the time.

All "detriment" means is that the need/energy of that planet is not easily-expressed in that Sign.  And sometimes that is a good thing.

Mars is in detriment in Taurus.  That means it is opposite of the sign it rules, Scorpio.  Mars is, at best, "uncomfortable" in detriment and often downright nasty.  EDIT: Mars doesn't rule Scorpio any longer. Pluto does. Wrong!  Only astrologers with a minimal education and understanding think that. Mars rules Scorpio.  Saturn rules Aquarius.  Jupiter Rules Pisces.  Chiron is a waste of printing ink. Think I'm wrong?  Fine provide the date the switch was made and document on whose authority it happened.

Not really. It just cuts someone back on the anger issues.

EDIT: Mars doesn't rule Scorpio any longer. Pluto does.

Mars is a red planet of warrior energy and ambition. Go getter planet when transit Taurus that again Earth sign that's again Earthy and Romantic creates strong connection and love for ambition.

But again not to forget Revolutionary planet Uranus is also transiting Taurus, so it brings Awakening and surprises and even shocks.
