What is the purpose of this cage in a Morocco hotel room?

    It maybe an outer cage to a portable air conditioning unit area which the hotel uses to control the room temperature.

    Or, a drying rack of sorts.

    It looks like it has a button on the side that should open it up.  Try it.  Figure it out or ask the front desk.
