Wouldn't it be better if colleges were forced to provide free college educations for all, instead of forcing taxpayers to pay for "FREE"?

college education?

Update:

You can't force Tax payers to pay for something they didn't purchase(college education for others), this constitutes Fraud which is Illegal!

you misunderstand college finances ... most aren't rich -- or even close to rich.  your proposal would have the vast majority close within a year.

The result would eventually be the same as if grocery stores had to give everyone free food.

If the colleges had to give it for free, then how would they get the money to pay the professors?

You can't force them to provide an education without pay. Slavery is illegal.
