What does "ods" mean???

To overdo something is to overdose on it, a term borrowed from drug use, commonly shortened to OD. The added "s" just makes it third person singular. (I think it's wrong to have a clue in the infinitive, to X, but the correct answer is not the base verb.

Rank is where you stand in a rigid hierarchy, like the military, the police, etc. Lieutenant is one such rank. The terms used by police in the US are borrowed from the army.
