Is this correct if I say to my students before starting the lecture/lesson?

    Yea that is fine. You can also tell them it is time to rock and roll

    I don't see anything wrong with it. Getting "ready to roll" means getting ready to do whatever the task in hand is.

    I think " ready to roll" means " let's get going ", so I think it would be fine

    That’s neat. But I thought ready to roll meant ready to leave.
